Getting your Etsy SEO right can mean winning big for selling your products or services on Etsy.
However, like most SEO, it’s competitive and not 100% straight forward.
But you’re doing well because you’re obviously interested in learning how to get better at it and make improvements to your store.
So welcome to the sign up page for my Etsy SEO newsletter. I don’t promise to have the answers, but I’m certainly trying to figure them out. Join me and learn along with me.
About the Etsy SEO newsletter
If you’ve not yet met me then hi, I’m Nate.
By day I’m a professional SEO working for a UK University.
By night I run an Etsy store as a creative outlet.
In this newsletter you get to peak behind the curtain and see if I can find success on Etsy by applying the skills and knowledge from my day job.
I hope you can find success on Etsy too by following along with this newsletter.

Most people teaching Etsy SEO are copy and pasting their script from Etsy’s SEO guide and turning it into a video. Or worse, they joined Etsy years ago, built a strong following, and they’re now teaching what worked previously.
So why am I different?
Well, I’m new to Etsy. I launched my store in January 2022. So I’m learning about Etsy and then publishing what I’ve found. Which means I’m not really teaching as much as sharing what I’m learning.
But I’m not new to SEO.
It’s what I do for my day job. I work as the SEO Officer at a UK University along side other skilled digital content specialists. And I’ve worked in SEO and digital content across agencies, small businesses and large enterprise.
But more than that, I love to experiment and test what’s actually working.
Here’s my portfolio of work.
My SEO experiments
- Spotify SEO – can you influence where a playlist ranks
- Drum samples – repurposing content for SEO
What to expect from this Etsy SEO newsletter
As you can see I enjoy testing what’s working in SEO, and that’s what I’ll be sharing in my Etsy SEO newsletter.
You’ll receive an email every time I have something of interest to share. That might be once a week or maybe even every couple of months, it just depends on how my experiments perform and the success (or lack of) for my Etsy store.
So I won’t make a promises that you’ll receive a weekly email, as that wouldn’t be fair. But I have a couple of essays I’m writing about Etsy so they will be sent. And if you’re interested in peeking behind the curtain of how a professional SEO would approach Etsy then this is the news letter for you.
I have lots of theories, ideas and hypothesis to test out.
For example, I’m most excited about Etsy’s announcement back in May that their search engine now considers the listing’s description.
Wowee! That opens up great copywriting opportunities for SEO, which I’m looking to test and exploit.
